This mattress is used for the prevention of stage 1-4 pressure injuries, early intervention for multiple Stage 1-2 and treatment of single Stage 3 pressure injuries. The Geo-Mattress UltraMax is precision-engineered to deliver critical performance advantages, such as the clinically proven Geo-Matt top surface combine with Span-America’s proprietary Shear Transfer Zones design to provide unmatched protection from the harmful effects of micro shear, macro shear and rotational shear. On the inside, the 3-Dimensional Zoning core design of the UltraMax provides support and user comfort. In the seat area – where the mechanical movement of bed and user weight affect the durability the most – the unique cell structure of the high resiliency UHP 500 layer provides a 55% higher Support Factor than found in typical medical grade foams. Viscoelastic foam and gentle Heel Slope provide added protection at vulnerable heels.
