1. What is the Flexabed Value-Flex?
The Value-Flex is Flexabed’s entry-level adjustable bed, designed to offer essential comfort, support, and adjustability at an affordable price point. It’s ideal for users who want the core benefits of an adjustable base without additional luxury features.
2. What sizes are available for the Value-Flex?
The Value-Flex is available in the following standard sizes:
-
Twin (38" x 74")
-
Full (53" x 74")
-
Queen (60" x 80")
-
Dual King (two Twin XL bases synced or independent)
3. Can I use my existing mattress with the Value-Flex?
Only if your mattress is compatible with adjustable bases. However, Flexabed strongly recommends using one of their specially-designed mattresses to ensure proper flexibility and optimal performance.
4. What type of mattress comes with the Value-Flex?
The standard Value-Flex mattress is an innerspring mattress with plush padding, built specifically to bend and flex with the adjustable base. Other mattress types (memory foam, latex, etc.) may be available upon request.
5. Does it come with a remote control?
Yes, the Value-Flex comes with a wired hand control that allows you to adjust both the head and foot of the bed independently. Wireless and upgraded remotes may be available for an additional fee.
6. Is assembly required?
Minimal setup is needed. Most Flexabeds arrive mostly assembled. You simply attach the legs and plug the bed in. White glove delivery and full installation are available in many areas.
7. What is the weight capacity of the Value-Flex?
The Value-Flex supports up to 400 lbs per side of the bed (for Dual models). For single models, the capacity is approximately 400 lbs total including the mattress.
8. Does the Value-Flex offer massage or USB ports?
No. The Value-Flex is a basic model and does not include luxury features like massage motors or USB charging ports. If those are important, consider Flexabed’s Premier or Hi-Low SL models.
9. What kind of warranty does the Value-Flex come with?
The Value-Flex comes with a 5-year limited warranty. This covers the motor, frame, and components against manufacturing defects under normal use.
10. Can I try out the Value-Flex before I buy it?
Flexabed partners with authorized dealers across the U.S. Many of them have showroom models available for testing. You can locate a dealer here.
11. Is this bed covered by insurance or Medicare?
Sometimes. Coverage depends on your individual policy and medical need. Flexabed beds are considered durable medical equipment (DME) by some insurers when prescribed by a doctor. Contact your insurance provider for details.
12. How much does the Value-Flex cost?
Prices typically start around $1,300–$1,800, depending on size and mattress options. Always check with your local dealer or Flexabed.com for updated pricing.
13. Can the Value-Flex be used with a headboard or footboard?
Yes. The bed includes brackets for attaching most headboards and footboards. Be sure to confirm compatibility based on your furniture’s dimensions.
14. Does the Value-Flex have height adjustment?
The standard leg height is fixed, but optional leg extensions may be available. If full height adjustability is required, look into the Hi-Low SL model instead.
15. How do I clean or maintain the bed?
Wipe down the frame with a damp cloth as needed. Avoid using water near motorized components. Check cords and connections periodically to ensure proper function. No mattress flipping is required.
