Description
The Prius Duet Mattress System is a pressure prevention sleep surface for patients at risk of developing Pressure Ulcers, as well as for patients who have an existing Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 pressure ulcers. In addition to 3-1 Alternating Pressure, the Prius Duet features True Low Air Loss to help keep the mattress surface cooler and free of humidity; Pulsation Mode 30-second pulsation therapy to help stimulate important capillary blood flow to the skin; and perform Lateral Rotation function up to 40-degrees rotation in 3 to 95 minute cycle times to meet the needs of users who require a turn schedule as part of their pressure prevention therapy. The Duet can auto detect the pressure of a patient’s bottom area automatically during Fowler Mode and adjust the pressure based on the results. This mattress also automatically sets optimal pressure based on patient’s weight, height and position—Alternating Pressure will continue to function, but Lateral Rotation will be disengaged until the head section is articulated lower.
Incorporated with automatic sensing technology for bottoming out prevention and pressure adjustment. The modular construction of the cells makes for simplistic repair and cleaning. Nylon PU cell design provides easy cleaning and minimizing the proliferation of bacteria. CPR quick release system deflates the system within 20 seconds. Low slip nylon under mattress base cover to reduce shearing and friction between mattress and bed frame. Equip with 2” convoluted foam base provides additional support during power failure situation. The Prius Duet is available in 36", 42" and 48" widths x 80"L with a mattress height of 10".

3-1 Alternating Pressure Explained
3-1 Alternating Pressure (AP) inflates and deflates the individual mattress air bladders in cycles to provide pressure relief in a 3:1 ratio. As a result, the mattress surface always supports 2/3 of the body's weight during AP mode—leading to a smoother transition between bladder cycle times, and a more comfortable surface that supports 2/3 of the body's weight as opposed to older "every-other-cell" (2:1) alternating pressure systems that supports only 50% of the body when in AP mode.
Features
- Advanced 3-in-1 Alternating Pressure Technology – Relieves pressure by supporting 2/3 of body weight, reducing the risk of pressure ulcers.
- Customizable Cycle Times (3-95 mins) – Tailor therapy sessions to individual patient needs for optimal comfort and healing.
- True Low Air Loss System – Keeps the mattress cool and dry, preventing moisture buildup and skin breakdown.
- Pulsation Therapy (30-second cycles) – Enhances capillary blood flow to improve skin health and circulation.
- Lateral Rotation Therapy (up to 40° rotation) – Aids in repositioning patients to prevent bedsores and improve comfort.
- Built-in Raised Padded Air Perimeter – Enhances safety by reducing fall risk; easily deflates for patient transfers and medical procedures.
- Auto Set Pressure Adjustment – Automatically adjusts to patient height and weight for optimal support and pressure relief.
- Patient Care Mode – Provides maximum inflation for easier medical treatments and seamless patient transfers.
- Easy-to-Clean Design – Minimizes bacteria buildup for a hygienic environment.
- Power Outage Support – Features a 2” convoluted foam base to maintain support during power failures.
- CPR Quick Release System – Fully deflates the mattress in under 20 seconds for emergency situations.
- User-Friendly LCD Control Panel – Simplifies operation for caregivers and medical staff.
- Fowler Function – Prevents bottoming out when the head is elevated at 20° or more, maintaining comfort and effectiveness.
- Cable Management System – Keeps cords organized and out of the way to reduce tripping hazards.
