The Salute RDX Mattress System features Low Air Loss and Advanced 3-1 Alternating Pressure that inflates and deflates cells in a 3:1 cycle to provide active pressure relief by supporting two-thirds of the user's body weight at any given time to help prevent and treat existing pressure ulcers. The Salute 36"W x 80"L x 8"H mattress pump system includes Low Air Loss function helps keep the mattress level cool and reduce moisture build up; The Prius Happy Heel Technology helps provide further therapy and comfort by decreasing pressure in the user's vulnerable heel area by offering extra softness in the last 5 air cells for patient’s fragile heels. 8 Adjustable Comfort Settings provide different levels of comfort depending on the patient’s therapy requirement. Cell-in-Cell Design to help prevent bottoming out in a power outage, and Max Inflate Mode for quick inflation are just a few of the many additional features offered by the Salute RDX Mattress System. 3-1 Alternating Pressure Explained

3-1 Alternating Pressure (AP) inflates and deflates the individual mattress air bladders in cycles to provide pressure relief in a 3:1 ratio. As a result, the mattress surface always supports 2/3 of the body's weight during AP mode—leading to a smoother transition between bladder cycle times, and a more comfortable surface that supports 2/3 of the body's weight as opposed to older "every-other-cell" (2:1) alternating pressure systems that supports only 50% of the body when in AP mode.
