Invacare's microAIR MA600 Alternating Pressure Mattress System with Low Air Loss features an Advanced 3-in-1 Alternating Function that inflates and deflates cells in a 3:1 cycle to provide active pressure relief by supporting two-thirds of the user's body weight at any given time to help prevent and treat existing pressure ulcers. The MA600 36"W x 80"L x 8" mattress with 10 LPM (liters per minute) pump system includes Low Air Loss function provided by 7 center air cell bladders to help keep the mattress level cool and reduce moisture build up; Invacare's HeelSense Technology that helps provide further therapy and comfort by decreasing pressure in the user's vulnerable heel area; Max Inflate Mode for quick maximum inflation within seconds to assist with transfers; Cell-In-Cell Design that helps prevent bottoming out in the event of a power failure; 8 Adjustable Comfort Settings; and more. Advanced 3-in-1 Alternating Function Explained

3-in-1 Alternating Pressure (AP) inflates and deflates the individual mattress air bladders in cycles to provide "active pressure relief" in a 3:1 ratio, meaning the mattress surface supports 2/3 of the body's weight at any given time. This approach to the cycling of air bladders offers a smoother transition between cycle times, and can provide a more comfortable surface due to the better distribution of the body's weight. This is an improvement to older "every-other-cell" (2:1) alternating pressure systems that supports only 50% of the body during AP mode.
